TNSB was founded by Heath Brinkley and Anthony Brown with the simple idea of promoting skateboarding around the state of Tennessee. Both realized the desire for more skateboarding events and the need for more skateparks to be developed.

Heath, a Tennessee native born and raised in White House, TN started skateboarding in 1986. Along the way he picked up a camera and started recoding his friends and making crude skate videos using two VCR’s which ultimately led him to an opportunity to move to California for a chance to work inside the skateboarding industry creating a video magazine called Logic Skateboard Media. Heath’s career has now spanned 26+ years and counting where he has worked with many brands such as DC Shoes and Primitive Skateboarding working in various roles from video/marketing manager, brand development and management up to CEO.

Anthony, a Georgia native born in Athens GA, started skateboarding in 2005.  In 2019 Anthony relocated to Spring Hill TN, with his family where he fell in love with the middle Tennessee skateboard community. Anthony quickly started working with the Spring Hill Parks & Rec to create his first event the "Spring Hill Skate Jam". Industry leaders took note of what Anthony was doing in his community and ultimately brought him on to help market for OPUS footwear. Anthony has had various other roles in the industry over the past 6 years including managing Mystery Skateboards, recently launching his own brand Trade. Skateboarding and helping manage the relaunch of Lakai Footwear.
